Local Support Means Local Assistance
Gately Funeral Home held their annual Sangria Salute in November, raising $3000 for the second consecutive year. The great staff of the local business manned the bar at Absolutely Fabulous for an entire night, raffling items and serving Sangria to a generous crowd of supportive Melrosians.
The Parish of the Incarnation Church again chose the Melrose Veteran Relief Fund as a charitable focus for their congregation collection. This year marked their third straight donation to this important cause and their total contributions topped $3000 in November.
Whole Foods Market Melrose honored local heroes on Veterans Day by accepting donations for the Melrose Veteran Relief Fund. Total contributions from Melrose customers topped $600.
And adding to the effort was Walmart in Saugus, who generously donated $1000 to the Saugus Veterans Relief Fund to help VSO Andrew Biggio provide food assistance to Saugus veterans in need.
Personally, we will be donating to the Melrose Veterans Memory Project, a local organization dedicated to honoring and archiving veteran history here in Melrose. This local non-profit recently received approval from the state to be an official charity.
If you have any questions about veteran donations, please call our office. We know there are many choices and many questions when it comes to charitable giving.
